DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist - The Lessons Live (2000)

At the peak of "turntablism" (wow, do I ever hate that word), there was a conference in San Francisco called Skratchcon. The afterparty for this event was amazing...and included DJ Radar, the Scratch Perverts, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, J-Rocc, and the final performance of the Invisibl Skrach Piklz. I was lucky enough to be at both events, and was able to witness Shadow and Cut Chemist recreate Double D and Steinski's "Lessons" live (along with Cut Chemist's own Lesson 6, found on Jurassic 5's first EP release). Steinski even came out to assist. I don't think I truly know what I was witnessing then, and it took about a year for me to fully digest it (along with a viewing of the Skratchcon video that was released). Here it is in 2 parts.
